Daniel Johns scores the APRA trifecta

Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns was crowned Songwriter of the Year at the 2008 APRA Awards last night, making him the only artist in APRA history to take out the honour three times. Johns also accepted the award for Silverchair's hit single 'Straight Lines' which claimed Song of the Year and Most Played Australian Work. Other winners on the night included Sally Seltmann who received Breakthrough Song of the Year for '1 2 3 4' and Rogue Traders who took out Best Dance Work for 'In Love Again'. John Butler, Wolfmother and artist manager Roger Davies also won awards.
